TestimonialsWhat residents and families say
My biggest regret is not finding it for my mom 5 years ago.
The Esplanade at Palisades is a welcoming community, allowing you to be as active a participant as you desire. The quality of activities is superior to any senior residence across the country. From the physical including Yoga, Zumba, Tai Chi and meditation to the intellectual including specialty speakers such as authors and professors to regular current events seminars. For relaxation there is marvelous musical entertainment both after dinner and in the afternoon allowing for maximum enjoyment. In addition to “at home” activities the Esplanade arranges for excursions to whatever is current and stimulating from museums, to movies, sports outings, restaurants and the list goes on and on. In addition to the activities the Esplanade has the most caring and qualified staff that treat the residents like an extension of their family seeing to the needs requested and anticipating what is not.Bonnie H.
Having had my parents in Florida for 30 years, moving them back was such a major decision as we wanted their next home to be in the very best place. After visiting many facilities, none compared to the Esplanade at Palisades. Besides being beautiful and looking like a hotel, the apartments are spacious and modern. The staff is warm, caring and always accessible. From yoga to flower arranging and the many other activities, their days are always filled. Doctor’s appointments are made and taken care of by their professional staff. They all become part of your family. We are so blessed to have our parents spend their golden years in such a wonderful place.Gail D.
We want to express our appreciation and gratitude for the outstanding care our mother receives at the Esplanade at Palisades. Everyone on the staff demonstrates on a daily basis how caring and compassionate they are, treating our mother as part of their extended family.
Everyone worked hard to make her transition as easy as possible, to ensure she was welcomed and included in activities and she was well matched with her dining companions. It gives us great comfort to know everyone is looking out for her well-being, both physically and emotionally. Additionally, the staff has been very helpful and accommodating to meet her and our needs as they evolve.
When she returned home from her recent illness (and she does think of the Esplanade at Palisades now as her home), she was truly touched by the outpouring of caring and concern she received from the staff and residents. The steady stream of visitors to welcome her back and express their concern beyond anything we expected. This once again showed us what a close-knit family there is at The Esplanade at Palisades.
We feel secure and confident knowing our mother has found a home at the Esplanade at Palisades where the staff shows such a high level of care and concern to the residents and their families. It is no wonder that our mother thoroughly enjoys living at The Esplanade at Palisades.Susan, Lonnie, Barry and Ellen D.
The Esplanade at Palisades is a noteworthy place to live for seniors.
This is a recommendation for the Esplanade at Palisades by a present resident in this community. The staff is warm, caring and dedicated to the resident’s needs. I find the food wholesome and well prepared. Our apartments are clean & well maintained. Entertainment programs are very enlightening and enjoyable.Seymour C.
Everyone is helpful and cooperative, and no one ever says “it’s not my job”.
Singing the Praises of the Esplanade at Palisades – This is a long overdue thank you to the staff of our residence, The Esplanade.
In the more than 4 years I am living here I always found the atmosphere pleasant and congenial. The two new STARS here on the staff just prove that there is concern for everyone living here, and to all of them we say a big “Thank You”.Natalie F.
At 92 years old mom was miserable in her home all alone. It was a nice place to live but she was very lonely, wasn’t eating right and fell a couple of time. Things got so bad that she was eventually hospitalized and wound up in The Jewish Home for 6 weeks rehabilitation. It was obvious that she could not go back home. Then I found Esplanade, it’s only 5 minutes from my home, we brought her to see it and moved her in a week later.
In the 15 months she has been at Esplanade she has been happy and I have been happy. She has friends, a regular routine, regular meals, and help if she needs it, the alarm pendant she carries gives both of us piece of mind.
She takes advantage of many of the activities, she takes Yoga almost every day, exercises in “Golden Slippers”, she does flower arranging and crafts, she volunteers in the Country Store one hour a week, and she attends concerts a couple times a week.
She takes trips offered by the Esplanade, she’s been to places I have not such as “back stage at the Metropolitan Opera”, the “September 11 Memorial” and goes to movies more than I do. The nice thing about the activities that are offered is that she can get involved in as many, or as few, as she feels that she wants to. The staff and the health aides are friendly, caring and helpful, (she loves her aides).
In short, her life is so much better, her health and happiness have improved.Steve K.
All the employees here at the Esplanade at Palisades are pleasant and cheerful.
Things I appreciate while living at the Esplanade at Palisades are my ability to remain independent and yet when I need assistance, I am able to have it. I love that if I don’t feel like going to the dining room for meals, I can have my meals delivered to me. I am in control of the heating & air conditioning in my apartment. The ease of shopping, housekeeping, being driven to my doctor’s appointments is a great service to me. I can enjoy meals with my friends and family in the atmosphere of the Country Kitchen. Entertainment is available. Being an electrical engineer, I enjoy the cerebral/ lecture activities offered.Daniel B.
I wish to express my sincere thanks to you and through you to the entire staff at Esplanade. I was favorably impressed when my brother invited me to look around before taking occupancy. Little did I realize that the best was yet to come! The attention shown to Harold by the executives, wait staff and aides is more than I could have imagined. Harold enjoys the meals on those occasions when I or other family members were his guests for lunch or dinner; we too, were more than satisfied.
Please share my appreciation with every “Esplanadian” that comes in contact with my brother. To all of you and your families, I wish good health and continued success.Arnold
Two years ago, the daily chores of shopping, driving, cooking and cleaning were becoming too difficult for our mother, Goldie. Her active social life was slowing down because of transportation limitations. We all knew it was time for a change.
When we walked through the doors of the Esplanade at Palisades, we were welcomed kindly by staff and residents. We had found the warm, caring community for Goldie that we were looking for. The residence is just beautiful and always meticulously maintained. The outdoor gardens and sitting areas are delightful and peaceful. There are lovely decorated common areas where Goldie relaxes with friends, participates in various served delicious meals. Trips are regularly scheduled to shows, museums, and parks.
We are so happy that Goldie is in a beautiful environment surrounded by compassionate and attentive staffs that are truly committed to making the Esplanade at the Palisades a wonderful community.Fran & Barry F.
